So we moved into our new home in Nampa, charged up the ol’ batteries and SC, headed out to a beautiful area near Boise and then saw this ?.
Took some ground picks though just to show what the day looked like..F6964345-B7F6-4AD1-ABB3-F819E180B2D9.jpeg0CA0F1D7-94BA-4567-A6AB-58627E53B0E7.jpeg47BAF5D1-3DF9-43AB-A302-C03BB0EB16FA.jpeg50BB9E05-26DA-4B8C-A81B-2D63159DDA1A.jpeg

So where were you that said no drones? Was it a legal sign or just some idiot non enforceable rule, Town and cities and people post signs all the time, but many of them mean nothing.Just some one trying to make you think you can't do something. Check it out.

If you read the sign, it is placed by the Idaho Dept. Fish/Wildlife.
Legal sign, legal restriction... for that area.

Sign or no sign at least in CA I've always thought game refuges are like wilderness areas and are generally considered off limits. They usually show up on a sectional. Most all of ours here are temporarily closed to the public due to the virus but drones have been restricted to fly over well before January of this year. I'd suggest looking at Airmap because it should show Deer Flat as a national refuge = no fly zone. Some might argue that you can launch from outside the park and fly over it and back to your home point, but I just avoid areas like that as well as a possible beef between myself and a game warden. Nice thing about airmap is you can see ahead of time if an area is unrestricted or not so you don't waste your time driving there and being turned away. Looks like a nice place to fly if you could.

It looks like it but it’s usually really windy at that location. As he explores he’ll find the treasure valley pretty fly friendly with a lot of visual variety.

Thanks, I use AirMap most of the time, except this time...so Karma got me?
I travel with my M2P on a regular basis so I did get some flights in(class G airspace) in Nampa. At 100 feet high had a flock of ducks do a flyby. I will post the video once I download off the SD card.
Blue Skies from Boise( use to be from SoCal).
