What causes Pro 2 gimbal resistance

With no power and drone level, my gimbal is forced down almost 90 degrees by something that happened when I took it apart and put it back together.

A previous crash left the gimbal a little bent. I clamped it up and did some twisting and pulling in an effort to get it lined up better.

I believe that is my problem due to unbalanced forces. As after I screwed down the side opposite the side with the spacer the Pitch Role arms other side was not centered over the hole in the camera case.

Well I just horsed it around and assemble it. Some stage of the assembly latter I noticed resistance in the Pitch axis, acting on the camera case.

I can push it high and feel a soring action wanting it to drop down.

Because of this the camera points to the ground and no calibration will straighten it back to center.

I would really like to try again with bending and twisting the arm. Any tips?

You are just putting together problems, You can dump a bunch of money and time into that repair. Tip: purchase new parts for any damaged part. If you "get" the part to work now that doesnt mean its gonna work like it should for long. Replace the damaged parts OR get a new gimbal

I've spotted three or four individual posts requesting repair hints/info for the same Mavic 2. With all the listed damage... this must have been flown into a brick wall at full speed.

I applaud the persistence and resolve, but with such catastrophic crippling, I honestly think you're throwing good money after bad.

You'll spend less buying a different 2nd hand unit that is flyable.

I have three drones waiting on parts for the gimbals. I just scrapped trying to use bent stuff and attempt straightening. Bcuz I used the parts on hand until the parts get here from the other 2 drones.
It went so smooth, and I was excited at the ease and smoothness of the mated pieces.

In the end, I ended up with a calibration that did not finish. And that was fixed with a successful IMU calibration.
I had to find the hot button to calibrate the IMU in the sensors section of Go 4.
