Well...I'd say wait, but in my case, DJI offered a Father's Day deal that I couldn't pass up. $650 for a MP, so I had to buy one.

I would love to have waited for the "big" announcement, but I couldn't afford a MP2 anyway if it did come out.

If you would like to buy the new drone, if one is announced, then wait. If you are wanting a drone that is already out, regardless of what happens July 18th, then buy now. The only downside is some people might be selling their MPs for a good price if the announcement is the MP2.

You beat me there. I waited 55 years to get my first drone.

My wait was 73 years.

Admittedly there was a lot of GA hours in 172s and Pipers in there.
