Do you have anything useful to add to the thread on topic rather than a cynical hijack?
I don't either, but it is still important to always mention what traitors those guys are to the hobby, and how they tried to remove us and our DJIs from the skies. I don't care what they do now - I will never give them any money or support in anything they do. What we are seeing now is presumably how they are spending the 30 pieces of silver they got for stabbing us all in the back ! :) That snide enough for ya ?

Then please just ignore the thread. It is not important to always mention this. They're doing something interesting with fixed-wing, it's pretty cool, and that was my reason for posting this. Please don't hijack the thread with your own agenda.

No problem - it only needs to be said once in every thread about them.... 'lest we forget'.

It's possible to appreciate the technology that Skydio demonstrated and recognize that they played the "American Card" with Congress.

And we are not talking about Saint DJI of the Blessed Propeller. The way they handle their app updates on Android is very sketchy.

once again, politics instead of drone talk.

Unfortunately, it is increasingly difficult to separate the two: especially within the US (this is, after all, an American forum that just happens to have international members who aren't affected by the political interference Americans are suffering)

We could all have a nice chit-chat about Skydio's stable and how interesting their drones are: but what's the point when not one of them is aimed at a non-professional/military/paramilitary/police/'security' service marketplace?

But the facts remain the same. They used political leverage and in the process: have been, and still are repeatedly stabbing existing drone users in the back.

As a drone user, I will continue to criticise this company. Should they ever decide that Joe Public deserves to gain access to one of their drones: I'll also happily join in any boycott.

Yes they are. I am

But I think they are allowed to be biased in their opinion. I know I am that too

F10 is not aimed at the consumer market, clearly for specific commercial or military applications (most likely the latter). Nothing new, drones have been developed for the military for decades. Like all technology, its become smaller, relatively low cost which now attracts players like Skydio as a compliment to Lockheed. They’re playing in a different market along with all the political mumbo jumbo.

Yes you are. Mavic pilots can be interested in what other brands are up to as well !
Sure, but everybody knows that Skydio is a divisive subject, so why bring it here? 🙄

If you don't understand the point, that's okay. Just skip the thread.

Why do you have to pollute it with off-topic side issues?

Apparently I'm the only person here that finds the tech they're developing interesting, impressive, and worthy of discussion. Regardless of the political issues, which are a separate discussion – or should be.

Oh well.

Because some us are capable of setting aside the divisiveness in order to discuss interesting products and technology.

And some us are not, apparently.

Why do people Skydio is responsible for DJI's problem with the government? The bigger problem is with AUVSI which is a large organization made up mostly of companies with government contracts?
