It is not a firmware needed, it was a SDK and Litchi has it now for the MA2 and is presently in Beta....just know that Waypoints are not supported in any of the new DJI Fly supported aircraft in Litchi although they are working at it. Your going to have to go with 3rd party apps that go with the virtual stick method of allowing waypoints such as red waypoint, dronelink...ect. If you want waypoints right now.
Litchi is not a suitable program to use for mapping.Thought for sure the MA2 was able to do mapping and use the litchi s/w
Trail 2 SDK released 2 days ago, let's see if they get this one right. DJI DeveloperWhen/if the developers decide to use the SDK to modify their apps to work with the Air 2.
I wouldn’t hold your breath on this one. Litchi have been saying that they hope to implement waypoints “very soon” for the Mini since August. It’s difficult to understand what their issue is as other apps have had this capability for months.just know that Waypoints are not supported in any of the new DJI Fly supported aircraft in Litchi although they are working at it.
I’m assuming that this uses the same “virtual stick” method as the Mini? You can try mapping missions with our beta release. Link is here: Mavic Air 2 Waypoint Missions | Flight Plan for DJI Blog
I see it's not for Android users. Just the same I'd like to make a request if possible. The reason I'm making the request is so that maybe other 3rd party softwares also might see it and decide to implement it if possible. You can try mapping missions with our beta release.
