It wouldn't surprise me if it's the same people who are flying drones that are dropping grenades on clusters of people in Syria.

Thank to this kind of idiots the future of drones will be more and more complicated and restricted. But that said, sometimes i wonder if some of these "news" are real or fake but given with the intent of throwing a bad image on this hobby just because it's something that is very difficult or near to impossible to control (and related issues); and governments don't like that too much.

Dont's belief in all such fake news which is driven by anti-drone propaganda press.
Almost no multicopter will operate at 10000ft above ground and almost no pilot will be capable for identifying a small object which passes at 200 or more knots.
In former times pilots have seen many UFOs but didn't tell about to keep their reputation, today they see "drones"...

Why don't you question the "Idiots" to use your terminology that wrote the article. 99% it wasn't a drone. But lots of people take the click bait as you just did.
