Hi Paleface,
Unfortunately, you can't expect miracles for a $48 add-on lens, of course. The resolution/sharpness corresponds to the price. Not exhilarating, but ok!
I edited a few seconds of your video with Topaz Lab Video Enhancer. The enhancer removes noise, slightly sharpens the image and brings out details! You can choose all the options yourself!
I also wonder if it needs a wide angle at all, because I think the angle of the original lens is enough for most shots.
