Wifi Channel Question

There are a few times when I like to fly in the urban area around my house, it is not the ideal place to fly with all the wifi but choosing a wifi channel is nice. I had one question when it comes to choosing what channel you would like. When I go into the settings i know i am supposed to used one that has a very low green bar. After I select that one the bar turns blue and shoots all the way to the top and stays there. I know the blue means its the channel I am on now but what about the jumping bar height? Will the height go down after a few minutes?

2.5Ghz is short wave lenght as opposite to 5.8 Ghz long wave. Again 2.5Ghz will give you more distance range but id it is the most used frequency among internet wifi users so if you are not going for distance then use 5.8Ghz and for the green spike bar when using 165 channel or other hight frequency my does the same.
