Will Smart RTH work in waypoint mode without RC signal?

I’ve read from somewhere before that says that the Smart RTH is initiated by the remote controller. I’m trying to use DJI GS Pro to fly a long range mission and the signal maybe lost. When the signal is lost the mission will continue but when the battery go low will it RTH even without RC connection?

Yes. Automatic RTH is entirely managed by the drone. However, I have never flown a far away mission where I could put this to the test while on a waypoint mission. You will want to check your RTH height, to make sure you don't hit any obstacles during a return flight, and *I believe* you can set the end action, after reaching the final waypoint, to RTH or hover. In the case of knowing ahead of time that you will most likely lose your signal, RTH would be your best choice. Then just sit and wait for the sound of the hive returning home...

I tested RTH with low battery and Litchi. It abandoned the waypoint mission and returned home.
