Mini 4 Pro Winter Storm - drone gimbal as a dash cam

This is not what we mostly expect from the drone video but:

When a severe storm grounded my DJI drones today, I decided to experiment with a different perspective. I recently added a DJI Mini 4 Pro to my toolkit alongside my Mavic 3 Pro, and I used it as a dash cam gimbal during a drive through the storm, capturing cinematic, stabilized footage that felt straight out of a film sequence.

To push the creative boundaries further, I used AI-generated music from Suno and brought it all together with my post-production tools – DaVinci Resolve for editing and color grading.

I totally enjoyed that film. It reminds me of why I moved from Chicago to Miami years ago. Interesting concept of using drone gimbal for stabilization and it worked well. I would have used my Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action Pro 5. There is a dash cam mount availablefor the Osmo Action camera.

Cool! That looks like the weather we have here. It has been snowing constantly for the last couple of days. Snowbanks in my driveway are higher than me and have already been chopped down once.

Clever idea though, I once saw someone handholding a mini 3 as a to gimbal record some audit nonsense at a library.

It was pretty cold in the car and the recording was about 20 minutes long - so the drone was warm but not extremely hot

well it is 200 characters long prompt - so I just describe what the video is about and it works really great

that was the prompt:

Create epic song. I recently shot winter epic storm driving in a car and used drone on the dashboard as a camera. There is a lot of snow all cars are almost covered with the snow, strong wind and snow

Using a drone as a handheld camera and gimbal system is nothing new. Whether you walk around with it, or stick on your car's dash, its the same thing. You can buy handles that clip onto the body to walk with. They make excellent smooth filming devices, for non-flying filming opportunities.
