I would love to get some opinions here as I have a large decision to make. And perhaps others might be in my position as well and benefit.
I've been a professional drone operator since 2015 and a member of this forum since 2016 and have always relied heavily on the good advice I get here so here goes.
I’m a professional drone operator living in New York State and need to keep buying to stay current. I’m looking at a Mavic 4 Pro and plan to have it shipped to a buddy in Toronto. The advice I’ve been given is to activate it there so it gets a Canadian region code, making it immune to any future U.S.-specific firmware restrictions that could limit its abilities or worse, yet grounded permanently based on the changing US laws.
If you were me, would you go that route or just bring it home and activate in the U.S.?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
