Was a good couple of days. Pretty standard hardware on display, but some very impressive software out there.
Last couple of years has been pretty low key due to Covid, but this years was getting back to the standard of pre covid conferences
Some stand out presentations:
Sky Kelpie and their work towards cattle mustering and working within CASA regs
Chris Hills from Hands Optional and his challenges gaining CASA licensing while only being able to fly with controls positioned behind his head in his wheel chair
Swoop Aero’s work around the world and Australia
The use of machine learning and A.I. To find ancient rock paintings in far North Queensland (super interesting)
And of course the pie in the sky stuff about the autonomous air taxis (not sure these guys will be on track for what they plan, but hey, someone has to work in this space)
