So, I have a Mavic Pro, Air 2, Air2s, and the wife just got me a Specta Air for Christmas. I REALLY want a Mavic 3. Curious if someone who has had all these other drones, save for the Specta, would you sell the other DJIs to upgrade to the Mavic 3? I love the Air2 and the Air2s and fly those the most but I am really hankering for a Mavic 3.

I have had a Mavic 3 for several years. I enjoy the fact that it can withstand winds and has a variable aperture, and a superior lens. It it is my go-to drone, but unfortunately, it is too heavy to travel with outside of the US. Most countries will not allow it without exceptional rigamarole applications. I fly only for fun and do not have a 107.

I had an air 2s, a Mavic 3 Classic and a mini Pro 3. I just had too many drones, I sold the air 2s then sold the Mavic 3 Classic and bought a Mavic 3 pro. I have to say the pro is a great machine with the three cameras. I use the mini 3 pro when I go on holiday as its easier to fly in other countries and less baggage space and weight. I wouldn't wait for a new model.. With dji there's always a new model around the corner. Hope this helps

I have used the Air2S for years now its a tank! Maybe if I were a photographer I would know if its best to upgrade BUT for my purposes If mine ever really dies I will probably just find another Air2S !

I have an Air 3 ! It would be easy to go for A sub 250 g DJI but I live in the UK and film UK and Europe and for me the mini 4 is not Useable enough in UK weather while the Air 3 will take anything thrown at it !
My last film in Fuerteventure although sunny had surface winds of 20 gusting 30 mph daily apart from one day and a lot of my uk films are in winds
Hence go for the Mavic 3 or a bigger drone unless your a fair weather flyer
Waiting to see the Mavic 4 if not too expensive ! Sounds like they will release 2 versions one cheaper

I'll be honest: I don't know what some of you guys do with multiple (even similar) drones! I have had an MA2 for several years now and can't imagine spending the money (let alone the time) on another drone without some "special" features (and I'm not just talking about an increase in camera resolution when it's already 4K capable). I'm more concerned about lack of support (as in apps/firmware) for the older drones, but being "forced" to upgrade is not something that will make me a repeat DJI customer.

FPV!!!!! 99 percent of them! If you decide to make the move to goggles and you learn to fly FPV in ACRO , Your Drone collection will grow before your eyes and if you are sneaky about it Not your wife's eyes lol. Each of my Drones has a purpose. The miniwhoops are for being around crowds the freestyles are for going out to almost deserted areas and ripping around. or racing It all depends on what you tell yourself LOL.

All of the drones you have are nice, but if you want the Mavic 3 then go for it!
When you said the wife got you the Specta Air, is that what you were hoping for?
Either way, order up that Mavic 3!

Actually yes. For what it is, it's perfect and saved a few bucks. I generally don't update firmware so as long as it's working fine I don't bother. Just wish they'd get batteries in stock ..
