Yellowstone investigates drone photo of Grand Prismatic

Bottom line for me...I he were a part 107 licensed pilot he would have known to check the local area and regulations about flying drones. He would have or should have known about flying in and over National Park. If he was an experienced pilot he should have known.

He is nothing more than a photographer trying to get noticed. Which it seems as though, he will do what he has to do, to get that recognition.

He is a problem for all photographers and licensed drone pilots!!!

Shouldn't he at least ask permission? He is a professional photographer, right? Shouldn't he know the rules already?
He knew the rules, he just played the game ask forgiveness vs permission and is gona regret it for a instagram post.

Him entering the park when it's closed is the bigger thing to me, but both are stupid.

I bend rules, but you got to do it with some common sense lol....

So did he get prosecuted, pay a big fine?

Or did his photo get so much views on IG that he probably made some money on it?

In geological time “about to blow” might be measured in thousands or at the least hundreds of years.
