So I took my little drone to the big open field behind our house and launched it up, I flew to the nearest railroad tracks- and no, I won't report how far I flew- and I just happened to catch a freight train rolling past. I tried the 2X zoom on the camera, and that thing works great. I am quite used to digital zoom equipped cameras of many kinds. Some digital zooms are just awful. But this little drone's 2X is quite good. Focus is solid, the image is clear- no super-pixelated image at all, and the drone itself hovers as solid as a mountain top.
So I recorded the train, and then I turned the drone around and following the little arrow image and the red line on the map screen, flew it directly back home.
This little drone is so far superior to other brand drones I've flown- and some of the other brand drones cost more than my Mini 2.
And once that drone gets over 200 feet high, I defy anyone who doesn't already know it's there to see or hear it. totally unobtrusive.
