zooming in air 3s

i was wondering since ive jsut had my first flight using the air 3s and starting to learn new things, why is it not possible say to zoom out from maximum, or even just 3x (from telephoto lens) to 1x ?? why the lenses dont switch automatically like say on an iPhone or Samsung when zooming in or out ? i will need to perform the dolly zoom trick for my shots...

how far can you zoom in lossless on the main camera without using detail ? 1.5x ? 2x ?

maybe one day dji will get there. in the meantime, you'll need to do your dolly zoom tricks in post.

Is there no video Explore Mode on the Air 3S, like on the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro, which will digitally zoom from 1x to 9x?

not that I am aware of. forgot the mavic 3 pro has it.

That's very disappointing. I wonder why they eliminated it.

Even the Mavic 3 has Explore Mode, and it is also only a dual camera model. I use Explore Mode all the time on both the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro for video. The transition from 24mm to 70mm FOV lends itself far better to Explore Mode transitions than the 24mm to 165mm of the Mavic 3, which has a huge gap between 4x and 7x, where 4x is completely digital.

Both of the Air 3S cameras can handle 3x digital zoom.
Why not combine them with Explore Mode for seamless 1x-9x video, without stopping the recording in between 2.9x and 3x and restarting it?

I don't know for sure about explore mode on air 3s; perhaps someone else can chime in please.
