Can someone offer tips on uploading videos to YouTube? My first attempt was a disaster. The video was horrible.

Render videos using a high Mbps (megabits per second), such as 30Mbps or higher. YT is going to crush the Mbps after upload, so the higher the original value - the better the end results.
