A photo of a fuel-wood market by the shore I took some days ago. There more than a few small islands in the lake (Lake Tana) where farming is either forbidden for religious reasons or impractical. So the few people who live in these make their living from selling fuel-wood. The small boats bring the heaps of wood in land, where they are piled in bunches and sold off to whoever needs some for cooking.
