Greetings from Brandywine, MD. We are coming down to VB to visit the Grandkids, one of whom is 12 years old and wants to learn to fly one of the two Air 2s that I have. They live a little south of NAS Oceana, which I know I will not be able to fly. Any help with locations would be greatly appreciated. I am 78 years old, a little handicapped, and not able to walk great lengths.

HI, I just saw your video on Iceland. We plan to go there next August 2025.
So I have a bunch of questions, if you do not mind :
- which month was it, and how long did you stay
- I guess you had a rental car. To go to the places of your video, is a standard car OK, or should I rent a 4x4 drive car ? What did you use ?
- Could you sahre your itinerary ?
Even if I have just a brave Mini2,.... those sceneries and your video gives me the will to try some shots.
Thanks in advance
Laurent

Hey there tek, I just joined the forum and got myself a new mavic mini 4. I'm located in sussex county and was curious about finding legal places to fly. From what I understand all state and county parks are off limits as well as wildlife refuges. If you could post some suggestions or even clubs for more info, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Hey Jurgen, I went to the Members Map and noticed your Red Pin was near Virginia Beach, but it says you are from Colorado. My grandson lives in Virginia Beach, and I wanted to take him flying with my drone. I thought you might have some thoughts.

Thanks

Hi Beau. Thanks for your message. The VB Oceanfront is tough because much of it is restricted airspace. But I think you're good to fly around Norfolk Waterside where the battleship and local repair yards might be interesting. I think the airspace is clear and I haven't been able to find any local Norfolk ordinances restricting launch/land/operation.

I did live in Colorado where it was tough to fly. National parks, Bureau of Land Management, county land, State Parks and Denver city regulations made it hard. And where Denver owns land all over the state, the Air Control app becomes essential to figuring out where it's ok.

Hope this helps.
