That’s interesting as that’s not been my experience at all. I’ve flown in very bright hot conditions numerous times using a note 8 and I have never noticed any throttling back. In fact I’ve binned all my sun hoods as they’re just not necessary any more.
Works fine and vastly improves the range. I had a Mavic Pro before this (just wanted something even more portable) and have had zero problems with range, but I’m not a distance flyer. It will easily fly a mile out and more in the right conditions, but I tend not to fly more than about 500 metres...
Oh ok sorry I didn’t mean to sound sniffy. I’ve never had a P4 so I guess I’ve got nothing to compare it to. You’re right though the cached photos in particular are terrible on the MP2 (and the Air) but I still find them a decent reference point.
Why would you return it just based on the cached photos looking rubbish? Just like the cached video they’re only supposed to be a reference point - I just delete mine once I’ve checked them over.
I had a go with one of those the other day and loved it. If I was in that market I’d snap one up right away and like you say, the footage wasn’t bad either.
Well, I bought a Zoom (which I love) with the express intention of flogging my Air to help finance it. In the end, I love that little Air so much I just couldn’t part with it (we’ve had such good times together). There’s tons of things I like about the Air still, and the range is just not a...
Crikey that’s 3km, is that not enough? I’ve also come from an Air to a Zoom (CE region) and I’m finding that the range (the Air had the FCC mod) is slightly better than the Air. But one thing which is a lot better is the quality of the feed, it doesn’t miss a beat.
I fly with a Note 8 and believe me I’ve gone through and tested numerous screens over the years. I absolutely hate having to use any peripherals as I like to travel light and I used to despise having to strap on a sunshade. Since the Note, I’ve never had to use a shade in even the brightest...
I’m fond of using my patented mid life crisis speech, whereby I will threaten to purchase a Fireblade and she should think herself lucky that I’ve picked something so harmless and cheap. Works a treat every time.
Yup when you first get one they are absolutely wondrous aren’t they? As far as flying over water, you’ll get over it. If you think about it it’s actually by far the safest environment and, assuming you are diligent, the chance of you losing it is absolutely tiny.
