Calibration Error?

I have been flying my Mavic today for many hours, at the end I wanted to fly from my back yard straight up to get a cinematic shot of my neighbourhood. I had just calibrated the drone and it immediately started beeping like crazy when i took off, it sensed objects around it in the backyard and when it was flying it would rotate side to side, I turned off obstacle avoidance, but the Mavic pro still rotated side to side aggressively in the air. Can this be explained?

Hi, you calibrated (the compass I understand) after the flight and before flying in your backyard?

I only calibrated once at the beginning, these flights were both in my back yard, I landed the drone after a near crash after the first incident, turned off obstacle avoidance and put it back into the air, I still had the same problem
