Careful of the 90 deg cables

I had my first ever disconnect today. Turned everything off, restarted, still nothing....
Pulled the cable from my iPad only to find......

I use the USB on the bottom of the remote. Solid connection ever since.

Yes, short about 6" long. Just died on me!
Off to find another, more robust one now!

I very rarely use the mini port on the RC anymore. I had trouble with getting the side connector into my phone and so I just use my regular straight charging cable for my phone and plug into the USB on the bottom of the RC. I haven't had any problems since. The only thing though is I may try to find a usb to mini with a 90 on the mini so it doesn't stick out into the handle on the RC as much as it does.

Just had to +1 on this one. I was wondering where to get a micro to lightning until I read this post. Didn't realize I could use the bottom port as well. That's great news so I don't have to finagle with the grip connector.
