Have you ever been restricted for illegitimate reasons?

Just wondering if anyone would share an experience when they were restricted of flying due to an nfz, altitude (ie mountains) or any other issue and it was illegitimate?
If so would you share info about the experience and also include firmware version

Thanks, I have followed that crazy thread from the beginning. It is not what I am asking. The question does not really have as much to do about firmware, although I asked, it has more to do with people trying to fly in mountains and cannot due to altitude or people in warning zones (not red) that should be able to fly but can't.
I am just trying to get a feel of places you may have issues regardless of the firmware debacle
