Does anyone know if an iPad mini fits in the long thin slot in this case?

It's too small for the iPad Mini. In the video below, you can see the iPhone just fits.

I have this case, unfortunately an iPad mini will not fit. My iPhone 6+ fits snug. I have seen a pic of an iPad strapped underneath the top layer of foam on a similar hard case..
