New core board serial number

Had my M2P core board and top shell replaced.
My drone now has a new serial number showing up in my flight logs while of course, the serial numbers on the battery compartment and right arm remain the original.

1. So which one is the true serial number of this drone?
2. If it is the new one from the core, do I need to update the info on my FAA recreational certificate?

I had rhe same situation with my Mavic Pro. I just registered it as a new drone, paid the $5.00 and let the old registration lapse. Have fun with the “new” drone!
