Obstacle avoidance widget is staying red on my phone when flying, in GPS and sport mode and seemes to not be hovering like it should. Hasn't been crashed, dropped or abused in any way.

You'll need to turn off sport mode if you want to use the obstacle avoidance features. They are all auto disabled while sport mode is enabled.

Do you also notice this when outside during the day? The obstacle sensors will also be disabled when lighting conditions are poor.

Yesterday it wasn't like this and I was flying during the day (very overcast). Flew it for a little bit tonight around 5:00 (still light and still overcast) I noticed it was lit red but thought I'd try it out. Took off and it started going up and forward slightly.

Where I live, the sun sets around 5 PM right now. If that's the same for you, then there likely was not enough light to use the sensors. Try flying again during the day and see if the same thing happens. Or, turn the Mavic on (with the props off) in a bright room in your house and see if the sensors are enabled.

Same here, Chicago area. I'll give it a try tomorrow. Thank you for the suggestion.

I just took it out and it must be with the lighting. Pointed towards the yard and put my hand in front of it, nothing and indicator stayed red. Flew it to the porch light, indicator turned white and started beeping. ...sorry, I'm new to this lol
