We need more of this

For drone awareness ? Pros and cons I guess.
Water rockets, kite making / flying, too easy and fun for all young children.
We saw that at the Brissy event, what a great day.

I see they say learn to fly drones, would be pretty limited surely ?
Possible with some mini drones with particular safety features, and / or prop cages, in a netted arena.

Such public enlightenment would be good overall for perceptions of drones in general.
Would be very easy to organise something on social media, but this can be too easy sometimes getting too big.

It would need to be a club or organisation of some sort (I don't know of drone clubs anywhere, at least in Oz).
Safety would be hard under rules to fly (30m isn't fun for participants), nor watching / flying in a restricted netted area (cost of this ?).
Insurance cover would be a bit of a killer I imagine, as too red tape from whoever was responsible for the location (council, school, private land).

Good idea, but I think the making of fine video and photography is probably the best way at present to promote drones and what they are REALLY used for.
