Question about the camera/gumball cover

The camera/gimball had two clear plastic parts attached to it: one looks like a dome and is over the camera. the other part locks the camera/gimball in place. My question is: can I fly with dome part still attached (and the locking part removed)? It looks like the camera will move freely. I like the idea of the protection of the dome.

Yes you can, and it will do no harm to the gimbal or any part of the drone. In fact, flying with the bubble on will distort the pciture, but might save your gimbal in case of a crash.
