With the latest update I must have my goggles connected in order to take off. No problem there. However I went to register my drone with the FAA and when I answered the question yes that it did indeed have remote ID it wants me to enter an ID number before I can finish registering.

Where do I get the ID number they are asking for?

The closest (only) thing I found was a CMIIT ID with about 8 digits and 2 letters.

That it???

Each RID compliant drone model has its own unique RID identifier for the s/n. You can find each one here: UAS Declaration of Compliance.

Click on the "view" button for your drone and you'll see the RID modifiers. In the case of the Avata, it says, Serial #: 1581F4QW000000000000 - 1581F4QWFFFFFFFFFFFF"

Replace the "0s" or "Fs" with the serial number of your drone. That will be your drone's serial number with RID.

I just downloaded a Drone ID App from Playstore, then flew my Drone up to about 4m AGL and detected the ID it was broadcasting. The App I am using is called "Drone Scanner" and it is free. I used it for both my Drones.
