Settings in DJI GO 4 not being saved.

Hi all
Loving the mavic, it's one awesome beast. When settings are changed, the gain was changed from normal to gentle. Ran the mavic and seamed the yaw was just as fast as it was before. On going into the settings the gain it seems that it's back on normal. So is not keeping the settings. Android on Nvidia k1.

When you set it to "gentle" did you do it with your phone/tablet connected to the RC and the drone on? Or just in the app?

Did it with the tablet connected, updated the Nvidia K1 and reinstalled the DJI go apps so will recheck.

But when you say connected you mean connected to the drone right? Several settings are saved to the drone not in the app

Sorry, yes connected to the drone , just change exp to gentle or just change the setting for yaw in the normal mode , then pressing back or X . Turn off drone and restart and check exp and it's gone back to default settings.

You are doing it all wrong!!!
Don't turn off drone first!!!!
Exit the app. This will write settings to the drone. Then power down the drone.

Try pressing enter/ok after changing the value.

Thanks for the advice, yep seems some settings are stored in the app, the EXP settings which I wanted to change are stored in the drone, so changed the yaw settings on the normal mode, pressed X then exited the app. Restarted the app and connected and the figures have been saved, happy boy again.

Surely turning the app off goes against all the training I have ever had as an RC pilot????
Activity like that on an airfield can get you kicked off the site and dismissed from the club on safety grounds. And rightly so.

If someone kicked you out for closing the app they really have no idea of what they're doing.
The app is by definition a non-essential accessory, the important thing is the remote.

And he wasn't in flight anyway...
