I am currently using the firmware my drone shipped with:

(I still cant get my Note 4 to work with the Mavic Pro - the video feed lags and pixelates a lot.I have tried the suggested remedies here on this site, but without any success.)
As a result I am using my Tab S3 - its a bit of a pain but I am using my 1200 GS Adventure as a ground station.
Placing the tablet on the bike's seat or one of the panniers works well. I will rig up some kind of easily assembled shade that can be attached to the bike as well.
I am starting to appreciate the larger screen size of the tablet as well.
Anyway:
I have done about 7 or 8 flights so far without any hassles.
For now I am going to stick with the current firmware. As far as I can see there are not a lot of problems fixed with the later firmware - correct me on this if I am wrong.....
