Stills from 4K @ 30fps or Photo mode ??

Here are a few stills taken from 4K @30 fps.
I seem to get great quality stills taken from video, while the quality from photos taken in the photo mode, are hit or miss.
Any comments will be appreciated.

I find the camera is ok in auto mode but it really does shine with manual settings. Coming from a photography background, I'm trying to get the video settings just right. Stills from a 4K video are aphasic going to be nice as long ad your camera is steady without motion blur
