If you turn off VPS (downward facing sensors) in snow does it then use GPS to hold level flight? How well can it do without the VPS?
I'm reviewing some footage from a trip and at one point I just left the mavic hovering while I walked around. It wasn't tracking me, I just had it on a wide enough shot to capture my movements. The mavic seemed to float up a bit, pause, then float down a bit, pause, repeat.
Based on reports here it sounds like I was seeing the effects of the VPS trying to use bright snow as a reference. Just wanted to check.
