Hello from the Crossroads of America Spikes Mavic.

Looks like you're getting the answers you need. 👍

Although the Mini one might not have to be registered with the FAA (<250grams), you should take the TRUST test and keep a copy with you when / if you fly.

It's a free no fail test that's covers the basics about flying a drone.

Good luck with the purchase and welcome to the Forum.

Edit... Here's a link to the manual if you want to read about it.

Edit #2..Do'h! TRUST is for USA pilots and not the UK.

Everyone flying a drone must obtain a TRUST cert regardless of drone weight, I believe.

Weight only affects whether or not you need to register, and RID requirements, IIRC.

@Spikes Mavic i have given you an answer in your other thread
with regards to this one ,then if funds are not an issue then go for the Mini 3 pro fly more with the new DJI RC and you will have a very good drone, which will have plenty of life span left in it
you will need to register yourself with the CAA and obtain a operator ID number which lasts for one year and now costs £10-33 p this is renewed yearly and is a legal requirement to have it displayed on the outside of the drone
while your at it you can also get your Flyer ID which is free and lasts for 5 years it will help you to understand where and when you are able to fly

Yes. Every pilot should have the TRUST certificate when flying whatever.

Heck, I got one to fly a paper airplane across my yard.

That's why I said,.." should take the TRUST test".

It's up to the PIC to do it.

The FAA registration isn't required unless over 250g launch weight or commercial (part 107).

@MA2 317, no criticism of your post.

I was just adding to it that it's not optional. Must instead of should.

Thanks for the correction!

That's what I get for not paying attention.

Clicked the link, seen Cleveland and assumed USA.

Sorry ' bout that.

You are correct, US pilots are required. Not the world.

Thanks again. :)

Here is what a Mimi looks like. Have the seller send you a photo of the left front arm. It is a great little drone and perfect to learn on. However, I also have the mini 3 pro, which is a better drone all around, still small, but with many more features. Regardless which you purchase, make sure you get your paperwork in order as well.

Only applies in the US.

Made the same mistake as @MA2 317, assumed Cleveland was in the US.

Please forgive my American arrogance. Seriously.

Even here in the US we understand... we have to work around this:
