Range extenders aren't what I'm worried about. I'm worried about having to strap on transponders which will cut battery life and then we'll have to have a trunk load of batteries to do one job.
I wonder why someone would admit on a forum like this to breaking the law? Does he really not know that you are illegal if your drone is out of your vision? The FAA says that VLOS, (visual line of sight), means you have to be able to see it. Here is a quote copied and pasted from the report...
