I have over 300 hours in three dji drones and have NEVER used it, too many stories of it not working at a bad time!! I completely ignore the blips and noise as well as the onscreen display and simply rely on my own eyesight 360 degrees from the drone point of view.

Are you very familiar with windows? what do you see when you look at the properties of the USB device that shows up??? You may need a driver for win 11 to allow the assistant 2 program to "see" the usb device.

Oh good so you can connect then, no problem.. If it shows up as a USB device then you can connect, windows is pretty basic.

For autonomous way points you need an OLD drone like a Phantom 4 Pro+ that's why I keep mine. it will fly waypoints with the controller shut off.

I doubt you'll find any circuit diagram, if you have a decent O scope you should be able to find a signal with some detective work and a lot of patience.

If that's the case there is no point in telling him about drones that can exceed the limit as the OP didn't mention obtaining a commercial level drone. As a recreational pilot it doesn't matter what he or she does it won't change the laws lol. So a Hack is using a drone you're not licensed for.
