So currently the drone is able to know when it is 120m above home point and provide a warning message. There is also a setting to select a set max altitude up to 500 metres. I think what he is saying is, there is now legislation being put forward to put a blanket geofence on all drones at 400ft...

lol I am wondering the same thing before I hit that buy button. People will say it does not matter because we shouldnt be flying BVLOS anyway. Lets not forget that how far out it can go without drop-outs also gives an indication on signal penetration, and how stable the transmission will be...

Basically the claimed 4.5 miles is what it could achieve in ideal conditions. That literally means a flat, open area with no obstacles, buildings and trees to obstruct the LOS between the controller and the drone and no radio interference. These conditions are few and far between in most scenarios.

I’d say if you’re going to Santorini, don’t even bother taking it. Locals are very anti drone, and being a small island means that the restrictive boundary from the airport covers up much of it.

Looking forward to the support for enhanced transmission. It certainly needs it.

Ok thanks all. Looks like I’m gonna have to wait another 10+ days for it to discharge down to 65% then as I’ve pressed the indicator button to check the battery charge status which is a pain. Hope that isn’t going to damage the batteries. Wish you could set the discharge time manually in the app...

Hi guys, Does anyone know if the Mini 3 batteries will still discharge when left in the charging hub that comes with the fly more kit? I’ve left my fully charged batteries in there for over a week now and the light indicators are still showing them with 4 solid green lights which is a worry...

I should have also mentioned, the signal problems with the mini 2 at it’s release were more noticeable to me then than the Mini 3’s are now. I’m not sure why that is, maybe O3 is just a much more stable transmission system, despite the limitations with the controller’s antennas.

I do remember a similar situation with the Mini 2 when that was first released and everyone then (including myself) was complaining about its CE signal strength and range on this forum. Is it possible, as with the Mini 2, they will improve the transmission signal of the M3P with later firmware...

I have so far experienced good range with mine. I was also concerned but I flew out 800m in an area with alot of trees between me and the drone and still had full bars of signal and no drop outs.

Spoke to dji support. They believe it’s an excess screw. They said feel free to use it as if something was not mounted properly or missing a screw it will prompt an error within the app. I’ve saved a copy of the chat just in case though lol

Does it make any difference if I do not have Care Refresh? I don’t fancy forking out any more money tbh

There’s no residue on the screw. It looks new to me. I can’t detect any more rattling either. Not going to attempt to dissemble it as I know that will make things worse.
