Mini 4 Pro Weird Landing Behavior?

Good to know! I don't mind having OA on in flight, as I don't really run into false positives, but this just felt clunky when landing. Might just land in Sport to make things easier.

Mini 4 Pro Weird Landing Behavior?

Recently picked up a Mini 4 Pro. Running the latest firmware and using a RC2 controller, I've been noticing a weird behavior right before landing, when compared to my Mavic 3. When coming in to land, the Mini 4 seems very hesitant to actually touch down - almost like the APAS is thinking the...

    Aurora HDR note

Reducing ghosting for HDR in any software is important - I know LR's HDR merge function has a similar toggle. To be clear, you only need this if things have moved in-between frames of the HDR, like the water in your image. If everything's stationary, you shouldn't need it.

PGYTECH ND/PL Filter Kit for DJI Mavic 3 (Set of 4)

New in box. Looking for $50 shipped. Prefer Paypal F&F as this is a low risk item, IMO. My previous sales feedback for other camera gear is available upon request. Enhance your DJI Mavic 3 drone's image results by using this ND/PL Filter Kit from PGYTECH. This kit includes four different ND/PL...

    Filmora "Color Space"

    Happy to help!

    Filmora "Color Space"

HLG is Hybrid Log Gamma, the hybrid referring to it being compatible with SDR and HDR. Looks like Filmora's color spaces let you choose between exporting strictly for HDR color, or to preserve the HLG color space.

    Filmora "Color Space"

Exporting for HDR presentation would require the use of an HDR color space to ensure the colors are accurately represented. REC 2100 is one such color space. Unless you've shot, edited, graded, and are presenting in HDR, there's no need to choose an HDR color space. Instead, choose SDR.

    Filmora "Color Space"

Color space can get complicated quickly. Some of the key terms you're looking for are gamut and color space, but if you're just looking to understand your best choice, it's probably SDR Rec 709. Unless you've been shooting, editing, grading, and presenting in HDR, those other options aren't...

    Panorama files

Depending on how you have the pano capture set, that should be the case. I end up with a set of raw files and a stitched JPEG. The stitched JPEG is useful for visualizing the finished image, even if you're going to edit and stitch from the raws.

Wide Angle Lens Mode Issue - Wrongly Selected?

But my point is that there's no practical use for a lower shutter speed speed or aperture when shooting a panoramic photo with a drone. You don't need a lower aperture for subject isolation, and even dipping to f/5.6 to avoid diffraction still leaves plenty of EV flexibility. You don't really...

Wide Angle Lens Mode Issue - Wrongly Selected?

In testing my copy the difference was so minor between wide open through f/8 that I could only tell with EXIF. Particularly for a panorama, minor losses of sharpness to diffraction are going to be unnoticeable. I'm still curious to know what subject required more of a reduction in light than...

    UAV In-Flight Emergencies

I think more of a distinction needs to be drawn between in flight emergencies and things that are just user error issues (RTH settings may or may not be an issue depending on location). Additionally, some of these are just unrecoverable, and only useful to understand as factors post-crash, like...

Is it possible to reto-fit an SSD to a Mavic 3?

Besides physical size, there's probably differences in the circuit boards that are beyond the scope of a home soldering job (not to mention the firmware differences).

    3 A not 360…360 Matanuska Glacier

Yeah, changes in the exposure can definitely cause problems with panos. Still an awesome shot! I'd love to see DJI implement an easier way to lock exposure in panos (that honestly should be a default behavior).

    3 A not 360…360 Matanuska Glacier

The sky banding is unfortunate, but definitely fixable in Photoshop. Cool shot! Have you thought about re-stitching the raw files with a less "aggressive" projection? Centering the glacier and sun in frame could be quite cool.
