    I shot down my drone!

Everything can be fixed, it's just a matter of what it's worth to you. Open it up and see what the electronics look like. If it got wet when it still had juice in the battery, there's going to be corrosion. If it all looks okay, I'd be tempted to put a battery in it and see what happens. I think...

Reflective tape safe to use? Advice please.

If the decals have metal foil in them, they might be a problem. If not, I would NOT expect them to cause a problem.

Mavic 2 Pro vs New Product ----WOW Is this the Future?

The sound of the first model skydio was horrendous compared to a mavic. I see they claim 50% quieter. If that means 3dB quieter, then it's still going to be really loud. Sound perception is logarithmic, not linear. 3dB lower is truly 50% of the power, but would only be just perceptibly quieter...

ILLEGAL TO FLY DRONES IN CANADA UNLESS...

Driving and flying simultaneously, flying over freeway, flying in rain, hmm.

    Hard case

I have an orange Nanuk 920 for my Mavic Pro. It's a bit big, but a great case for my extra batteries and all the charging stuff. I also have the fly more bag and it's small, but fits everything I need to go fly. It's just not very protective compared to a hard case.

What to do if no one picks up? 5 miles from airport

It's literally 4.9 miles away. I'm truly on the edge of the radius. I've tried calling many times, never an answer and never a callback. I'm on the east side and it's oriented basically north/south. I've never seen anything that appeared to be on approach to land there. I have seen more...

What to do if no one picks up? 5 miles from airport

If an answering machine picks up, leave a message and fly. Same issue here with a small airport just under five miles away from where I like to fly. Now it's for sale, so it will likely become another master planned community. I kinda figure that any plane in the air space I typically use has...

    Why People Hate Drones

My personal favorite hate threat is those that are going to shoot them down. Yes, shooting into the air at an official aircraft, in a populated area, without consideration of where bullets are going to land, is a completely rational response. SMH

    MPP Night Flight Compass Error

Anything magnetic can interfere with the compass module(s). Also heavy current flowing through wiring can do the same. Are these lights pulsing on and off, or varying their intensity? Wearing a watch or holding the transmitter in your hand during calibration has been said to cause calibration...

    Why People Hate Drones

I've only had one person come up to me sporting an attitude. I was flying at a 43 acre, county owned, flood detention pond that also masquerades as a "reforestation area" and public jogging trail. She approached me and promptly announced that I needed to register it. I calmly told her I already...

    Why People Hate Drones

As far as most people seem to be concerned, your quad has at least 4 900:1 optical zoom cameras that can see in total darkness, and penetrate, at least, 24" of reinforced concrete. Seeing through their clothing from miles away is a piece of cake. Not to mention the super sensitive microphones...

    Why People Hate Drones

News story about peeping drone. That's not a drone, it looks like a spider web as the poster said. With IR cameras, you see all kinds of weird stuff at night. From the looks of her property layout, any drone zooming up and tilted like that should have been in the tree, or on the ground the next...

    height limit

Nobody doubted your ability to read logs and help people find their drones, but that doesn't prove any of your assertions. Unless you have full schematics and source code, you are in no position to conclusively state what information DJI does or does not have available. I explained multiple...
