When your wife really loves you...

She was paying attention to how stressed I was about my puffy batteries. DJI may not care but my wife does! [emoji173]️

    Time for goodbye to DJI?

I wasn’t sure if you could use LAANC to request a flight in a LAANC 0 area. I thought all airspace exceptions within LAANC-controlled space happened 100% outside of the automated LAANC system.

    Swelling batteries

Even with the "tough to push it in past the clips" situation?

    Swelling batteries

Just checked, mine are DAT. If there's any additional information off the battery that would help, just let me know. I'm not sure if folks are just keeping them, discharged, "just in case" or if they're fully recycling them and getting them out of their houses. :D

    Swelling batteries

All of my Mavic Air batteries are swelling to a certain degree. Manufacturing dates: Jan 16th, 2018 Jan 17th, 2018 Jan 16th, 2018 I just decommissioned one of the batteries because the swelling after cooling was enough that you have to press fairly hard to get the battery clips to engage. That...

    Time for goodbye to DJI?

I have a silly question: do you believe LAANC will provide you authorization to fly in a LAANC 0 grid?

SOLVED - Intermittent Clicking Noise In-Flight

It’s bad to take off without GPS even if you know you’ll get better GPS faster by hanging out at 16’?

SOLVED - Intermittent Clicking Noise In-Flight

It was hovering at about 15’ AGL. I usually let it sit there while it acquires GPS, which is fine if I’m watching it. I should probably search for the flight data and see what happened. But I know that whatever happened, I wasn’t watching It, so it was totally my fault. [emoji81]

SOLVED - Intermittent Clicking Noise In-Flight

I suspect it was wonky GPS (clouds) and lower than usual light, confusing the ground sensors. Coupled with the angle and height I left it at...transom windows maybe? Also my negligence in stepping away from it for 5 seconds. ? I have backyard surveillance footage but the collision occurred a...

SOLVED - Intermittent Clicking Noise In-Flight

I did not do the best inspection I could. I found out that the collision caused the back-left arm to become dislocated. The clicking was the front-left and back-left props clicking together. Nice. SO...probably not something I can fix myself? I'm guessing this is going to be a contact DJI and...

SOLVED - Intermittent Clicking Noise In-Flight

Problem? Intermittent clicking sound in-flight, normally not in hover. Started after collision mentioned below. Was unit in a crash? Collision with my house. Broken props (all replaced). Landed without a crash. What have you tried so far? Swapping between batteries. Full aircraft external...

    Using copyrighted music

I know this is just one guy’s music but have you looked into Moby? His entire collection can be found here: https://mobygratis.com/ Watch the video, it’s pretty cool.

    New to drones intimidation!

If you have a wide open, safe place to fly, just turn things on, wait until you have the green happy-GPS “the home point has been updated” message then, take off and fly low altitude for a bit. Stay within 20-30 feet, 10 feet off the ground or at eye level. I fly every day. Love the Mavic Air...

1 mile from a 10KW long wave transmitter, would you fly ? SOLVED.. I'm not risking it

Speed limit laws are decades old, well established, as are the fines and punishments for breaking them. We have test tracks and other locations where it’s 100% fine to go 200 mph. You don’t even technically need a license to drive a vehicle off-road, or on a private test track. If some idiot...

1 mile from a 10KW long wave transmitter, would you fly ? SOLVED.. I'm not risking it

Oh, I keep forgetting, some folks fly way outside of VLOS.... Yeah, as you start to get further away, you have a signal-to-noise ratio problem. The signal from your RC decreases in strength exponentially as you go away (inverse-square law), and the "noise" generated from things such as towers...
