My Mavic Mini range test in FCC this summer was 4 km. (2.5 miles). The signal did cut out at about 3 1/2 km but I managed to keep it going a little further. I came back with less than 20% battery so I’m at the end of its range now.

That’s been fixed the iPad. The battery indicator is now located off the camera screen and has a black background.

Can someone try flying their MA2 along side a car on a lonely road and see if the signal still cuts out at 11 km?

I use an iPad (6th Gen) with my Mini. I bought a wire to connect it from Drone valley and a tablet holder from DJI. Drone Valley also has good tablet holders for mavics

Rick at Drone Valley has a great lens hood for the mini. I got one and in addition to helping lens flare, it lifts the front of the drone up higher off the ground to give you better camera clearance. Go to the Drone Valley channel and click the link to his store in any description

Thanks for all your input here. It looks like I might be safe to update but I’ll wait a bit longer to see if any more updates come out. If not, I’ll assume it’s fixed.

My cousin, and many others, got a battery cell error after a Mavic Mini firmware update. I just got a Mini for Christmas. Is it safe to update the firmware? Has this issue been resolved? Does it only occur if you update through the drone itself? I normally update my other Mavics with DJI...

Has this issue been resolved? I got a mini for Christmas. Should I hold off on updating it to avoid frying a battery?

iPad 6th Gen, 9.7” 128 gig wifi/cellular. works great for my Mini and my M2P. I bought the “spark” tablet holder from DJI and an OTG Spark Cable also to plug it in to the controller. The Mavic Mini Remote controller does NOT have a full size USB plug and the little cables that come with it...

The MM unfortunately doesn’t seem to have the option to decide what to do upon disconnect of the remote. mine doesn’t have that option with the Fly App update, nor did it with the first version of that app. All other DJI drones have it. hopefully they add it soon!!!
