His and Hers. Mavic Air and Spark flying from top of 100 ft Fire Tower!

I'm intrigued. That is some steel structure and I would have expected it to have caused compass errors. Did you launch from the top of the tower or the base?

    Is 4K worth it?

Something no one has mentioned is the opportunity to "zoom" in up to two times on 4k footage scaled onto an HD timeline. This can give you significantly tighter shots at HD resolution, and you can zoom and pan during post-production.

    Potential Overheating Problem & Solution

Having not flown my MP for a couple of months, I thought it wise to power it up and check it thoroughly before yesterday's photo shoot. While adjusting the camera settings I saw a warning that the main circuit board was overheating. I realised the fan was not running, so immediately powered down...

    Losing patience with mavic

Reading this thread it is apparent to me there are discrepancies between different MPs. I've worked in the broadcast TV and video industry since 1969 (admittedly the early days were in monochrome!). I've never tweaked my MP camera settings, yet have been delighted with both video and stills from...

A Lucky Escape ~ and a 'heads up'

Yes, I did wonder about that, but strangely, it was only on the return path (at the position of the "kink" on the outward leg) that I reduced altitude. What do you mean by 'add some expo to the sticks'?

A Lucky Escape ~ and a 'heads up'

Yesterday I reversed my Mavic into a tree. Of course this was my fault. After footling about for some time shooting a POI, I flew forwards along a rocky stream, recording a video tracking shot, then simply reversed to bring the MP back for a second attempt. However the MP drifted slightly and...

    Wow, that's remarkable - and a great demonstration of the Mavic's weather-proofing!

    Norfolk Broads

Lovely video - and you saved the best shot for last! It was interesting to see hand-built sheaves - presumably Norfolk reed for thatching?
