That happened to during a flight. I landed, turned both the controller and drone off and back on and everything was back to normal.

I agree with everyone. Replace -- My second question is more around replacing the pair of blades. In the instructions that come with the replacement blades it says to change to the whole pair when replacing one. Does everyone do that?

If you cover the bottom sensor, you will be able to "land" and then take off - Not advicing you cover the sensor but it should work.
