I fell for this scam before I also had heard of DJI and it was horrific! Nearly took my eyes out before it crashed . Eventually got my money back after a lot of offers from them to persuade me to keep it. Thank heaven for DJI! , never had a problem (mini 1, mini 2, Air 2 )

Heard a rumour some time ago that it may have been a police or airport drone circling the perimeter fence but no- one would admit it, could be false info but who knows??

Updated the app then updated firmware on Air 2 to 340 no problems. Noted the changes, checked safety, control, camera , transmission ( had plenty of satellites indoors near window), thought would take off and just hover. Air 2 veered to right , hit wall and shot off forward and left into bedside...

Welcome to the forum, there are lots of " oldies " but perhaps we are all young at heart - most people have said " good for you learning a new skill and not being afraid of trying something new " to me. Keeps you young - I'm 73 and have done parachute jumps, free fall, have a canoe etc, etc ...

Yes, thanks "old man mavic", I realised after posting that there is no need to do this unless the app notes it. Like I said, " an age thing " - I feel lucky if I get my boxers on the right way round in the morning!

Having done a search , I now see there are quite a few / lot of posts about this but not many re Air 2. Apologies again, will use the search function more in future ! It's an age thing!
