No, it was me pointing the camera up by mistake, I think. No obstacles. EDIT: Sorry, no, that was just my stopping to hover.

Also, my compilation video from Pound Ridge Reservation. First time I've used a video editor, so it's not super professional. I'll be doing something similar to the Croton Dam videos soon. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AkxzHMvKAVWHiMsUbh-at7PtYdjdIQ

Flew Croton Gorge Park (the dam) yesterday in northern Westchester. I thought this video was beautiful. Only my second time flying, so please forgive the unprofessionalism of the camera work. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AkxzHMvKAVWHiMsRIy2TVWXrWSDh-A

Recommended Multi-Battery and Smart Controller Charger

Thanks. I went with the OEM product linked, however. It doesn't has as many features, but it should fit in my backpack.

Recommended Multi-Battery and Smart Controller Charger

OK thanks. I think I'm going to buy the OEM product I linked above. It's a little more expensive, but I'm guessing OEM is a safer choice. Also, there seems to have a slot for it in my Ultimaxx backpack.

Recommended Multi-Battery and Smart Controller Charger

Hello! I'd like to buy a single device to charge all my batteries (current 3) and my Smart Controller. Ideally, it could use a home socket or a car outlet. I came across this product: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Y9V4GTR/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_O3p9DbH3J2KHS It seems to suit my above needs...

Old thread, but considering the Pound Ridge Reservation for my first practice flights tomorrow. I has tons of wide open fields, and I think it should be empty this time of year. Will I run into any problems? I've searched and searched, and I can find no restrictions anywhere online.

Good Locations within Two Hours of Manhattan for First Flight

You know what? You're right. I think I will try to find some interesting places over land! Back to searching. I was thinking Pound Ridge Reservation, but I'm not sure how interesting it will be. But I should walk before I fly (pun intended).

Good Locations within Two Hours of Manhattan for First Flight

Thanks, that's super helpful. Based on this thread: Hudson Valley New York I'm thinking of Bannerman's Castle on Pollepel Island off Breakneck Ridge. Looks like there is a good a secluded takeoff platform. But first to find a nearby park to practice at for a while.

Good Locations within Two Hours of Manhattan for First Flight

Hello, all. Plan to take my drone out for my first flights this weekend, and I'm looking for locations within two hours (or so) of Manhattan. The first flight this weekend will be my first flight ever, so I was thinking a simple drone-friendly park may be a good start. However, after some...
