Thanks for that info, Paul. I was just about ready to reset to defaults, but research was showing that you can't do that with DJI Assistant on the M2. Anyway, you just saved me from a lot of effort. Mine rarely jerks in 'P' mode, which is what I use 95% of the time anyway.

No, I have not tried resetting to factory defaults. Probably should, but it's maddening going through every single screen capturing every custom setting. :(
