I think I have something to try. The stop/start setting of 15 is for the gimbal. So that is OK. However, there is a section for Sensitivity settings for attitude, brake, and yaw. the brake is set to 130% (max is 150%). I'm going to try and reduce the brake setting to see if it smooths out...

In advances settings there is a start/stop buffer. I have it set to 15. Does anyone know the default setting? I set it to 15 based on an on-line recommendation. What are others of you using?

I found another USB cable that has the proper fitting for the controller. I tried it and now the lights are blinking. I have both lights 1 and 2 blinking - is that normal?

There are two lights on the controller, not blinking, so battery is half charged. Came from factory that way. I need to take your suggestion and try a different USB cable but I don't have one that will take the adaptor or has the correct plug on it already. perhaps I can purchase one...

I don't get any blinking lights on the controller when charging, but do get the blinking lights on the drone battery when charging. It seems to me the controller battery is not chargong for some reason. Bad USB cable maybe?
