I have no problem with leaving the sticks on with my mini stored in the fly more case. I did add joystick guards that cost $8.00.

Does this upgrade change any custom settings we had on the Mavic such as RTH altitude, gimbal tilt & speed settings, etc.?

The simplest way to do it is wait for a good GPS signal AND that the home point was recorded before taking off. After that, take off vertically only to just above 10 meters and sit there for a few seconds. After that, go fly.

I turn it off because I don't care for all that green on my map. There are just a bunch of private grass airstrips around me that cause all those circles on my map. I fly below 250 feet around my property and neighboring fields only at this time.
