Thanks! We're extremely fussy about what goes into these; even then I can see a few little wobbles here and there... and I haven't the time to do image stabilisation like I used to.
Thanks for subscribing, I appreciate it! ... now ... back to editing!
As ever, this could be like, days long...
We've accrued over 100km of flight distance since June, bought more batteries and had a blast flying commercially. So happy we got into this industry.
Hi all.
I've been approached by an acquaintances father, who has a Mavic. He's flown it a total of 6 meters, according to his DJI Go 4 App logs on his iPad. I've been tasked with fixing it... he's off to Sweden next week and obviously wants to take his bird. I'm not totally sure how he had that...
It was anecdotal, but I heard about an incident about 5 days ago local to me - there was a hobbyist flying a Mavic around at the River Mersey, then there was an (obviously unrelated) incident where two people ended up in the river. Search & Rescue and the police were on it within a few minutes...
This is kinda amazing, kinda crazy. Think I'd rather chuck a log at the kayak and retrieve it downriver rather than risk losing my bird.
Kudo for the balls of steel though.
No matter what form a gimmick takes, it's still a gimmick.
I'm talking about drones in general here, not just a hypothetical Mavic v2. Even if we can see the performance boosts (top speed, improved aerodynamic profiles) we'll see other associated benefits: perhaps hyper accurate payload...
My 146000mile Audi A4 1.9TDI Quattro. It's really fun to drive.
I polish it a lot. Check out that beading.... driibblleee. Obviously taken on a non flying day!
@Atredz I'm not taking anything personally, don't worry about that. I'm just passing on advice I was given.
I'm in Europe anyway, and I think that the FAA and Eurocontrol would likely have similar rules. The differences start to appear between different airlines.
My advice is purely to help...

Apologies if you've seen it already.
I can think of zillions of applications for this.

I found that using the caching caused problems on my phone. I use a Nexus 5X and it's great, fast and all. The issue is namely that when the phone (or iPad Mini, actually) gets full (storage wise) then the app crashes, forcing me to fly the drone down to safety using only LOS and my flying...
I get permission from the local council, the landowner if it's not council land, I also call 101 and get an incident number (this means I've backup for any instances where cops show up and go OI MATE what you doin!) and put up a NOTAM if I'm anywhere near an ATZ... along with the LZ cones and...
