After a firmware update, always rerun an IMU and compass calibration, as well as check all of your settings. You'll find that some of them will be changed.

China has all but shutdown manufacturing and shipping on account of Covid. Who knows when they'll be up and running again. The mini 3 could be delayed for weeks or months?

You are correct, if you have already upgraded to 1.04.000 you are at the mercy of DJI for a fix and this will no longer work:

The latest firmware update is laced with connectivity, range and other problems. DJI have also made it impossible to go back (downgrade) to 1.03.000 via the DJI Assistant 2 firmware hack. So before you update to 1.04.000, see this and read the comments:

Evidently it doesn't harm the mini 2 to start it with arms folded and gimbal cover off. How else would you run the IMU calibration?

I'm an old guy and the Mini 2 does everything I need it to and more. I bought two mini 2s 14 months ago and to date haven't had any issues with either one. I have approximately 90 flights on each one.

The white N indicator sometimes covers the little green direction arrow attached to the blue dot and follows it around when I change flight direction. This is annoying because it makes it difficult to see where to point my controller at the mini 2. Any clues as to why this happens at times?

Is there a way to PREVENT future Fly app updates for IOS users? I fly with an iPhone 8 plus and when a new fly app update becomes available, my phone automatically updates. I already have firmware updates turned off, but for the life of me, can't figure out how to prevent Fly app updates!
